The honest version

What the chain actually proves.

A hash committed inside a window proves a file existed by then. That is all a timestamp has ever been worth, and every product that dresses it up as proof of presence is overselling it.

It does prove

The moment was fixed before the day began, and was not chosen by whoever announced it.
The announcement landed on time, inside the minute it was already bound to.
Your hash was committed inside the window, signed by your key.
The file you show later is the file you committed, byte for byte.
Your streak cannot be backdated. It is a run of consecutive days answered on time.

It does not prove

That a camera made the picture.
That the person in it is the person who posted it.
That it was taken in the window rather than last Sunday.
That the place it appears to show is where anybody was.
That the same person holds the key today that held it last year.

So what is it for

Somebody can shoot four hundred photos on a Sunday and drip one in per day forever, fully verified. Nothing here catches that, and a design that claimed to would be lying.

What cannot be faked is the timing, and therefore the streak, which is the only thing this game actually scores. Four hundred days answered inside a window nobody could predict is a real object. It cannot be minted late, bought, or reconstructed after the fact, and that is a narrow claim that happens to be true.

The rest is the ordinary social product. People know whether their friends actually showed up the same way they always have, by looking at the picture.

The trust that is left

The operator can compute the moment once stirring closes, hours before it fires, and could tell somebody. Stirring is the defence and it is a good one, but it is a defence and not a proof.

The operator can also decline to open a day. That costs the day. It cannot break a streak, move a moment, forge a post, or touch a record that already exists.

Those two things are the entire trust surface, they are both visible on chain, and they are written here rather than left for somebody to find.
